A rectangle is 42 square feet. what percent of the area of the rectangle is a square with side lengths of 6 feet?

area = L x w

42 = 6 x w

w=42/6 = 7

rectangle is 6 x 7

square would be 6 x 6 = 36 square feet

36/42 = 0.857 = 85.7% ( Round answer if needed)
