Answer: z = 1/2

Step-by-step explanation: subtract 6 from both sides to get  2z=1 divide both sides by 2, you get z = 1/2 check by inputting 1/2 for z

2(1/2)+6= 7

1/2 of 2 is 1

1+6=7
